Arsenic and Old Lace

Martha and Abby Brewster are the kindest, sweetest    

spinster sisters in the neighbourhood.    

They give out presents to children, they care for the sick and their poor brother Teddy, and

they open their house to any lonely soul in need of a place to stay. And their famous homemade

elderberry wine ensures a steady stream of visitors, some of whom never leave.

Brother Teddy lives in his own world digging the Panama Canal in the cellar, nephew Mortimer

is discovering young romance, and this year’s Christmas gifts have just been given out, when

their lost brother Jonathan appears at the door with his fermented companion Doctor Einstein.

Suddenly the house is in upheaval and the sisters’ secrets are in danger of being revealed!

What’s that body doing on the settee? Why don’t they like Methodists? And what are those

shadows in the back?
